Draw

Also called SNKRS Draw, Nike SNKRS Draw, Draw entry

A Draw is Nike's entry system for a limited SNKRS release. Entries are accepted during a published window, the window closes, and winners are selected at random from everyone who entered. Where you sat in the queue does not matter, and one Nike account gets one entry per release.

In use: Most hyped Nike releases run as a Draw: entries open at 10am, close at 10:20am, and every result goes out once the window has shut.

What a Draw actually is

A Draw is a random selection made after a deadline, not a race to a button. Nike opens an entry window on a SNKRS release, takes every valid entry submitted inside it, closes the window, and then picks winners from that pool. An entry placed one second after the window opened and one placed one second before it closed are treated identically.

Where people get it wrong

Almost every habit people bring to a Draw was learned on first come, first served releases. Refreshing does nothing. Being on Wi-Fi rather than mobile data does nothing. Opening the app half an hour early does nothing, beyond making sure you do not forget.

The second misreading is the timing of the result. Got ‘Em and Missed ‘Em are both sent after the window closes, not after you enter. A notification that lands ninety seconds later is the Draw closing on schedule, not a judgement on your entry.

The word people use instead

Plenty of people call a Draw a raffle, and in conversation that is clear enough. Nike’s own word is Draw, and the difference is worth keeping when you are reading Nike’s help pages or its terms, because that is the word they use.

The full mechanic, including what you can and cannot control, is set out in how Nike SNKRS draws work.
