Alert Me is the option on the Laced calendar that sends a push notification thirty minutes before a release opens. It does not create or submit an entry on its own. It exists so that a Draw window does not pass while you are doing something else, which is how most people miss most releases.
In use: You tap Alert Me on a Friday release. Thirty minutes before the window opens your phone buzzes, which leaves time to check the billing profile is still green, pick a size, and start entries about five minutes out.
A reminder, not an entry
Alert Me does one thing. Thirty minutes before a release opens, your phone gets a notification. It does not select a size, it does not create a Launch, and it does not submit anything. If you tap Alert Me and then do nothing else, you have no entry in that Draw.
That is a small feature, and it prevents the most common failure, which is not a technical failure at all. Most missed releases are missed because nobody was paying attention at the right minute. The Laced calendar covers the next seven days, so the information has been sitting there the whole time. Attention is the scarce part, not access.
Thirty minutes is a deliberate window. It is long enough to confirm a billing profile is valid, choose a size and create your entries, and short enough that you are unlikely to drift away again before the release opens. The recommended start is about five minutes before the drop, or ten to fifteen if you are running several profiles, so the alert lands with room to spare.
Use it alongside notifications from SNKRS rather than instead of them. Nike announces and sometimes changes release details in its own app, and Alert Me is a timing reminder rather than a news feed.
