A draw is a random selection made when the window closes. Nike takes every valid entry, shuts the window, and picks. Nothing about your entry makes it more attractive than anybody else’s, and no amount of preparation changes the number that gets drawn. So the arithmetic is simple, it is not hidden, and it is not in your favour.
What does the arithmetic actually look like?
A very large pool against a small allocation.
A hyped release has a few thousand pairs in a region and a very large number of entries. You do not get the real numbers, Nike does not publish them, and anybody quoting you a win rate made it up. But the shape is not in doubt: the pool is far larger than the allocation, and one entry is one ticket in it.
Why one account means one ticket
One Nike account gets one entry per release. That is Nike’s rule, not a limit of any particular app, and duplicate entries on a single account are cancelled rather than counted twice.
It is the reason a single entry on a Travis Scott is the long shot it is.
What does more entries change?
Exactly one thing: how many tickets in the pool carry your name.
Five entries instead of one is five times as many tickets. That is the whole claim and it is a real one. It is also arithmetic anyone can check, which is why we would rather state it plainly than dress it up.
And what it does not change
The chance on any single entry. Each one is picked or not picked at the same rate as everybody else’s, and no plan, no tier and no tool alters that number.
There is no faster submission, no priority queue and no better backend, because a draw has nothing for any of those to act on. If a site tells you its product improves your odds, it is describing something Nike’s mechanics do not support. Ours does not either, and the plans page says so directly under the prices.
Where does that leave you?
With two honest options on a pair you actually want.
Enter once and accept the odds, which is free and completely reasonable. Or put more entries in, which costs money and settles nothing on its own.
The second one is what Laced sells, and what is actually behind a profile explains how it works, including the parts that are not flattering. Read that before you decide, not after.
Questions people ask
Do more profiles improve my chances on a single entry?
No. Each entry is picked or not picked at the same rate as everybody else's, on every plan including the free one. What changes is how many entries in the pool are yours, which is a different thing.
How many entries does one Nike account get?
One per release. That is Nike's rule rather than a limit of any app, and duplicate entries on a single account are cancelled rather than counted twice. It is the reason a single entry on a hyped pair is a long shot.
What are the real odds on a hyped release?
Nobody outside Nike knows, because Nike does not publish allocation or entry numbers. Anybody quoting you a win rate made it up. What is not in doubt is that the pool is far larger than the allocation.
Is there a faster way to submit an entry?
No, and there is nothing for speed to act on. A draw takes every valid entry inside the window and picks at random once it closes, so there is no priority queue and no advantage to submitting first.
